Happy Hour, Happy Feet: A Sock Drive for Facing Homelessness
December 1 • 6 - 8pm
Everyone lives better when they feel loved, so let's get together and share some love with this wild world. Come have a beer or two, enjoy the company of amazingly beautiful women, and bring as many socks as you can carry.
Why socks? People who are living outside often struggle to keep their belongings clean and dry, meaning that socks are often a single-use item. They're considered "white gold" on the streets because of their high value. All socks will be donated to Facing Homelessness, a nonprofit working to humanize homelessness through showing each person's beauty. More here: https://vimeo.com/155048687
Queen Anne Beerhall has agreed to offer us happy hour drink prices until 8:00 in support of our group and this effort :)
All socks, both new and gently used, are perfect. If you're looking for a good deal, these beauties from Costco are the way to go: http://www.costco.com/Kirkland-Signature-Men’s-Athletic-Sock-6-pair-White.product.100160932.html
