Founders Panel: How to Break Into the Fashion Industry
October 22 • 6:30 - 8:30pm
Entering the workforce or thinking of a career change and yearning to break into the fashion industry? We'll be hosting a live Q&A with 3 accomplished founders who've made it happen for themselves AND are empowering others to do the same.
Meet Melissa, Sarah, and Elenor ....
Melissa Mash, Founder and CEO of Dagne Dover:
Melissa Mash, Jessy Dover and Deepa Gandhi are the co-founders of Dagne Dover. With complementary expertise from the fashion industry, they launched Dagne Dover to solve women's biggest handbag problems in early 2013. After its early success, Dagne Dover was sold out for the majority of its first year in business. The brand has been written about in publications such as WWD and Fashionista. (www.dagnedover.com)
Sarah Boyd, Founder and CEO of Simply Stylist:
With years of experience in fashion PR under her belt, Sarah set out to start her own multi-service boutique agency in 2009 to connect the stylemakers she encountered on a daily basis with brands, events and other opportunities. This eventually grew to include what is now a core part of our company: the Simply Stylist conference. Forbes named her a “Female Founder to Watch” in 2013 and she’s been featured in Marie Claire, Hautelook, Fox, E! and more. Sarah’s vision for Simply Stylist is to create an inviting space for driven, stylish and tech-savvy women to come together, learn and connect.

Elenor Mak, Co-Founder, Keaton Row:
In 2012, Elenor Mak, along with friend and co-founder Cheryl Han, founded Keaton Row, the Future of Personal Styling™ as first online social commerce marketplace to connect personal stylists, clients and retailers. After receiving her MBA from Harvard Business School, Elenor joined Avon as Division Sales Manager and then National Sales Director. From her experience at Avon, Elenor became passionate about empowering women to become entrepreneurs and saw the opportunity to provide a modern day business platform for a new generation of influencers while making the convenience of personal styling accessible to all women. Out of this vision, Keaton Row was born. www.keatonrow.com
