Designing your beautiful life: A lesson in goal setting and vision boards.
December 17 • 7 - 9pm
Overcome your resistance to setting goals and failed resolutions by designing your beautiful 2015 on a vision board. You will start off this session with a brief reflective activity led by Gretchen Harnick, Parsons Assistant Professor Fashion Marketing and digital fashion entrepreneur. Then it’s time to create your 2015 vision board.
Bring your own collection of magazines you wish to cut up. We will have many on hand as well, but it’s best if you have some stake in the game by choosing the style of imagery. Think broadly such as Money Magazine, Forbes, Fast Company, Real Simple, Self, Yoga Journal in addition to fashion and beauty magazines.
Gretchen is an expert in creative teaching and recently recognized she is an accomplished goal setter. By discovering her goal planning did not meet the boring, staid preconceived approach to goal setting she aims to spread the word that your own way is the best way.
Her new company Pattern to Plan supports fashion entrepreneurs in those tricky first few years. Visit the site to read her latest article on goal setting and vision boards here: http://www.patterntoplan.com/embracing-goal-setting/
This event will be held at Fueled Collective, named "one of the coolest offices in NYC" by Business Insider. We are so excited to partner with them and can't wait to take a peek inside their offices with you!
