Women in Tech: Challenges, Opportunities & The Future
November 26 • 6:30 - 8:30pm
With Google announcing that only 17% of tech roles are being occupied by women, and it being reported just this month that less than 13 percent of the STEM workforce today is made up of women and more than four times as many boys study STEM at A-level or university and even fewer girls pursue a related career*, the debate around Women In Tech is more prominent than ever before.
Levo have partnered with tech training organisation General Assembly and Ticketmaster to create a panel of women in tech, who will discuss and debate the perceptions, challenges and opportunities that exist in education and the technology workforce today, and also look to what can be done in the future to pave the way for future generations in the hope that there won’t be a need for these debates to exist.
Attendees will: have the opportunity to connect with other women involved in the London tech community, share their own stories about working in, failing in, or breaking into the industry, meet four successful women in tech who have accomplished their own career goals
