NetWorkout: Hula Basics with the Academy of Hawaiian Arts

NetWorkout: Hula Basics with the Academy of Hawaiian Arts

Event Description

Come join us for our first ever hula NetWorkout event with the internationally renown Academy of Hawaiian Art (AHA) in Oakland. You will work up a sweat by learning the basic steps and a beautiful Hawaiian hula dance.

You will be taught by AHA's pro dancers, who dance directly under the direction and choreography of world famous, Kumu Mark Keali'i Ho'omalu, and whose voice you may recognize from the soundtrack of Lilo and Stitch. AHA was also recently the opening act at Dreamforce last year and is a crowd favorite at San Francisco's Ethnic Dance Festival every year.

This is a rare chance and an event not to miss! If you do not have a car, do not worry, we will setting up carpools from Bart.

AHA has kindly discounted the rate to $20. To secure your spot, please pay through AHA's website: http://www.academyofhawaiianarts.org/

To see one of AHA's dance performances from last year at the Merrie Monarch, the Olympics of Hawaiian dance, use this link: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=academy+of+hawaiian+arts
