From First Date to I Do: How to talk to your honey about money
June 22 • 6 - 7:30pm
We’ve all heard the stats – money is the #1 cause of divorce in this country – and at the end of the day, we know it’s not about the money. It’s about fear, shame, feelings of inadequacy, and embarrassment.
You’re not just sharing your financial life with someone, you’re sharing all the mistakes and missteps you feel like you’ve made in the past. Scary right?
So how do you start the money conversation with your partner? How do start to talk about your finances, or, even scarier, their finances?
And then, when it comes down to the details:
Exactly HOW should you set up your bank accounts?
Should you get a joint credit card?
How do you split the expenses?
What do you do if one person earns more than the other?
From the first date and deciding who pays, to figuring out which out your direct deposit goes into after you get married, we’ll take you through all the financial stages of your relationship.
