Senior Graphic Designer

OWP/P is an architecture and engineering firm which creates effective, sustainable and inspiring environments for their clients. I collaborated with project and marketing teams to unify messaging for a variety of marketing applications to promote the brand. I understand the importance of brand strategy from an architectural and graphic design point of view, and as a result, work well in cross-functional team environments. As OWP/P’s brand manager, I oversaw the brand creation and maintenance of two offices and a 300+ employee corporate system. In addition, I partnered with staff on client and staff design briefings and critique sessions. I worked on environmental projects with the CTA, Orbitz and many healthcare systems to help saturate their brand with the same care I instilled in the OWP/P brand voice.

AIGA

Developmental Co-Chair of AIGA Chicago

AIGA is a professional association that was founded on a national level in 1914 and is the oldest and largest professional membership organization for design. AIGA Chicago is a dynamic community of 1600+ members, including designers, communication professionals, design educators and students. Our purpose is to advance designing as a professional craft, strategic tool, and vital cultural force.

As the Developmental Co-Chair I facilitate opportunities for local and regional companies to participate in and support chapter programming and activities. I create and implement an annual sponsorship drive including opportunities and information on upcoming chapter events and activities for the calendar year. Additionally, I oversee all sponsorship transactions and insure receipt of related benefits.

Senior Design Manager

With the tagline, “Do Something Creative Everyday” Paper Source has established a dedicated following of creative customers nationwide. My goal was to infuse the brand’s inspiring store experience into marketing pieces both on-and off-line. I managed the merchandising of the catalog, styled and art directed the photography and designed the books from start to finish. In addition, I managed the photography, digital imaging and web design. Under my lead Paper Source moved into a weekly eblast and home page update process. I also collaborated with the CEO to re-launch the website with fresh, sustainable and templated designs in time for the 2008 holiday season.

I translated strategic retail ideas into a brand experience through graphic design, art direction and story-telling to create the overall look and feel of campaigns such as Crate and Barrel’s Gift Registry Program and the Furniture Resource Guide.

I worked on numerous branding projects ranging from websites, collateral, naming, corporate identity, packaging and brand voice systems for clients such as Barclays Global Investors, The Gap and Sephora. I collaborated with clients, brand strategists, creative directors, poets, philosophers, writers, photographers, video and sound engineers to create and implement strategically focused design. I coordinated with a larger team to successfully launch Pottery Barn Kids as a fully functional e-commerce site in the Spring of 2001.
