“One isn’t necessarily born with courage, but one is born with potential. Without courage, we cannot practice any other virtue with consistency. We can’t be kind, true, merciful, generous, or honest” ~Maya Angelou
At the moment my dream job would be teaching English in South Korea, but my long term dream career is to be a museum curator or art advisor for an auction house.
Sweet Briar College
B.A., Art History
May 16th, 2015
Sweet Briar College is a small, all womens, liberal arts college nestled in the hills of the Blue Ridge in Central Virginia. With a student body of a little over 600 hundred, small intimate classes of 15 or less and "family" dinners with professors is the norm. Like any good liberal arts college, I was educated in subjects ranging from environmental science to the cultures and societies of 18th century Eastern Europe. It was at Sweet Briar that I learned to embrace myself as proud, strong. and resourceful woman and also where I found my love of Art History, which was the subject I chose to major in. Along the way I also minored in History and Medieval and Renaissance Studies, earning Certificates in Arts Management and Leadership as well. Sweet Briar is not only a beautiful place because of its 3,000 rural acres, but also because of its amazingly learned and recognized professors, incredible academic programs and opportunities, and a place of sisterhood that has created absolutely amazing women that don't let anything get in their way.
