Program Manager | Marketing Coordinator (Internship)
March 2013 — July 2013
At the Spring/Summer Internship opportunity with IGNITE Her NY (http://igniteherny.com), I improved my skills in developing business and marketing strategies.
I worked remotely but closely with the Founder, Tiffany Crawford, to brainstorm, implement recruitment efforts and create quality leads from careful internet research and data curation.
A contact database was created and organized, so that specific information for each lead could be easily tracked, monitored, and modified. The database eased the marketing and communication processes between the Founder, myself and prospects.
Other achievements: Acquired in depth understanding of social media usage for marketing and audience engagement. Created a full flyer with Word.doc.
Program Coordinator | Administrative Assistant
March 2009 — February 2013
My career at HOPE began with a temporary position as an Administrative Assistant. Here, I initiated on additional tasks that improved the department productivity by 25%.
Having paid close attention to counseling techniques and subject knowledge that Sr. Program Coordinators used to help homeowners prevent foreclosures to their homes, I made a smooth transition into the Program Coordinator position.
Outside of my assigned duties, I integrated counseling processes with filing, recording, and reporting procedures to establish protocol consistency, which the department standardized.
Aside from developing and managing my own client pipeline, I mentored and coached new counselors. To stay connected with colleagues from various offices, I frequently researched and shared industry best practices.
Other achievements: Acquired communication skills to work effectively with highly emotional clients. Became the designated resource for colleagues to troubleshoot intranet database and other web-based tools. Produced Volunteer Training Manual to improve volunteer retention and increase service activities.
