Interface between Engineering and Production Plant in order to promote flow of information and technology transference. Improvement of process aiming Design-to-Cost actions
New processes development such as welding of high strength armoring wires, superduplex stainless steel welding and anti-abrasion coatings for subsea application.
Qualification/technical audits on suppliers.
2014 – 2015 – Accessories and Terminations (Umbilical and Flexible Pipes) and Supplier Qualification
Development of material and specifications to submarine accessories and terminations. Development and qualification of new corrosion resistant coatings for offshore structures such as nickel coating, zinc coating and epoxy coatings.
Development and supervision of qualification programs based on client’s requirements and standards as API 17J/17B, NI-2409, ISO 13628. Supplier qualification for Umbilicals and Flexible Pipes (accessories and terminations).
Follow up and technical support to Suppliers. Technical management of nonconformities (on suppliers) in order to improve quality of accessories and terminations.
2012 – 2013 – Materials Laboratory
Material qualification, characterization and testing (mechanical and corrosion tests). Working mainly with metallic materials (carbon and low alloy steels, duplex and super duplex stainless steels).
Test methods for mechanical tests and fatigue on carbon and low alloy steels. Testing materials according to International Standards as ASTM, NACE, IEEE.
Failure analyses and improvement of material specifications for subsea application.
2011 – 2012 – Flexible Pipes Design
Design Methodology implementation in order to certify Prysmian Surflex as a flexible pipes
manufacturer/supplier based on international standards ( API 17J, API 17B) as well as specific client’s requirements (ex: Petrobras NI-2409)
