Partners Group AG

Private Markets Monitoring Support Part-time intern

I was lucky enough to get this internship in the private equity industry. I knew nothing about it originally because I only took a few finance classes then.
It was a challenge to work part-time while studying but they were very understanding. I learnt a lot about Real Estate, PE and Debt. I also enjoyed networking with all the talented people here who gladly shared with me.

Management Intern

I was very happy to be part of this Big 4's family. Making a career switch from Marketing to Finance, I was in the Marketing and Communications department.
Firstly, the training was very structured.
Secondly, I enjoyed working together with clients from different industries.
Last but not least, I was proud of my project for sustainability reporting in Singapore.

Times Publishing

Marketing Intern

Sometimes, you can learn from failure.
This company closed down their e-commerce store shortly after my internship.
It was a very intense experience that taught me that I must find a career that I am passionate about, and not just a job.
There is a difference between connecting with your customers and just looking at the short-term profits.

Singapore Press Holdings

Intern Reporter

I always wanted to be a reporter when I was young.
Here, I had the chance to report on amazing events, from politics to celebrities to even people on the streets.
It was a high-pressure, high stakes job that taught me to pay attention to details and think from the point of view of the company. I also met many interesting people and friends.
My communication skills improved.

Peking University

Exchange Program, Management

I went to China on exchange for 4 months.
My interest in Finance really grew when I was there as what they learnt are much more difficult and mathematical.
I especially enjoyed my Risk Management class whereby I learnt a lot and discovered that I want to start my career in that area.
I was able to explore and put into practice my communication skills, when I visited SMEs and entrepreneurs and shared with them the differences between Singapore and China.
