Developed a marketing plan and brand to encourage students to live on campus. Wrote, edited, and proofread copy for the website and print publications. Wrote press releases to promote the department’s accomplishments within the wider UD community. Updated and maintained website content, structure, and design. Designed graphics for publications and the website. Coordinated events to promote returning students’ desire to live on campus. Implemented social media marketing strategy and branded and maintained all social media profiles. Responsible for HAS presence at student events. Created training materials for Residence Life staff. Managed the Marketing budget. Served as the main liaison between HAS, the Office of Communications and Marketing, Admissions, and Sustainability Task Force.
Founder and Chair – Campus Living Marketing Focus Group
Reviewed marketing plans and advertising strategies with Facilities, Residence Life, the Office of Communications and Marketing, and Dining Services. Promoted collaboration among departments that contribute to the residence hall living experience to create a consistent marketing message for publications.
Member – Sustainability Task Force (STF)
● Chair (for Advertising and Press) - Regional Institute for Sustainability in Higher Education: Oversaw all publications and advertising to promote the Institute at UD and on regional campuses. Designed all print materials and edited news articles, website copy, and emails promoting the Institute.
● Green Liaison: Increased awareness about environmental sustainability within the HAS office by attending Green Liaison lectures and discussing sustainability initiatives at staff meetings.
● Marketing and Communications Working Group Member: Created a brand style guide, advertisements, news articles, wrote copy for the website, and improved the STF web presence through social media sites.
