Karcher North America
Production Supervisor Metal Fabrication Dept.
January 2006 — November 2013
I was employed at KNA over the last 8 years in total. My last 5 years was as a Production Supervisor, the first year of these, as Supervisor overseeing 20 employees split amongst three U-shaped assembly lines.
I was asked by Plant manager, a year later to return to the metal fab shop as Supervisor over the department we're I began. I Supervised 10-12 employees, managing detailed production requirements with ISO and lean operation of manufacturing highlighted. It was my responsibility to verify and submit employee time cards every other week. Also performed annual employee reviews. Worked closely with computer, primarily on daily scheduling of work orders for manufactured metal fab parts needed at welding, powder coat, and directly to assembly for purpose of assembly of Commercially used Hot water pressure washers and parts washing machines.
At my starting date, I was brought in as a machine operator and grinder. My first year I was a temporary employee with minimal experience, but caught on quickly soon after my first year I was made a full time Machine Operator
