Special Education Advocacy
July 2014 — Present
• As a consultant and advocate for children with special needs, I would provide information on available resources, social support and informal counseling. I would help each client to outline and understand the sequence of actions to create instructional/behavioral interventions, and curriculum resources. Having the ability to help clients to effectively organize their children’s health and academic records and resources collectively and independently. I have the ability to adept at facilitating meetings to help others gain perspective and understanding of suggested interventions and accommodations.
• Lead parents / guardians with a change management plan to implement in both an educational and/or domesticated setting. I would assist with identifying change characteristics, acquiring resources, implementing the plan, and reinforcement management. Together, there is a review and analysis of the implemented plan of interventions and accommodations to determine if there are gaps between the child and the interventions.
