Mel Robbins is a married working mother of three, an ivy-educated criminal lawyer, and one of the top career and relationship experts in America. Foodie in the city

Eating in the city's hidden gems and finding coffee shops in random places is one of my passions. Connecting with people and experiencing new food and cultures are better experienced through food. I share my foodie adventures on Instagram with all my other follower -- @lzixxaa.

"Never trip over the same rock twice" - I am not sure who this quote is from but it resonates with me. Mistakes are made so that you can learn from them. Repeating the same mistake over and over means you have not opened yourself up to grow.

Social media is love

My communication/PR experience has landed me heavily in the social media world. I have connected with and learned from so many people in the Latino community and beyond through social media.

I have worked with a number of different organizations, companies, and more to help build their brand voice and messaging. It's to be able to connect with an audience in real-time!

La Salle Univeristy

Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Communication, Public Relations

I was actually majoring in Business Administration my freshman year. Like most, I didn't feel like the major fit me and my passions. The career center helped me to realize what I really loved - writing and being creative - and found that Public Relations was where I should be. Ever since then I get excited about all aspects of the field. Connecting, working, and learning from and with fellow PR professionals in Philadelphia and beyond has been the highlight of my college career.

Life, PR, & SM Experiences

Service in the Dominican Republic

Understanding different cultures & languages is very important in my career. I was able to travel to the Dominican Republic and learn from my own people and those around me about culture, language, and opportunities to engage different Latino communities.

Workshops & more

I am also up for learning more about public relations and social media. I am often attending workshops, conference, twitter chats, and more to gain knowledge about my field and the everchanging world of technology.

Understanding Journalists & Beyond

As a PR pro, understanding the world of the journalist is very important when attending events
