Liaise with and support local governments, nonprofit organizations, consultants, and universities using the STAR Community Rating System - the nation’s first framework for evaluating the sustainability of U.S. communities. The STAR Community Rating System is an innovative performance metrics system and certification program for local governments, which encompasses environmental, economic, and social equity indicators.
Coordinate the STAR Communities Pilot Program, which convenes 32 leadership cities and counties
from across North America in a 12-month engagement to test and evaluate the STAR Community Rating System, Technical Guide, Online Reporting Tool, and associated products and services. Serve as a coordinator for communities located on the East Coast, the South, and the Midwest. Create training programs, tools, and resources to support communities and improve the user experience both online and offline.
Develop and coordinate communications and outreach strategy and materials, including PR and press releases, website content, email marketing, social media, and presentation and conference resources.
