My Career Journey - Swiss Post Solutions, Inc. (SPS)

The winding paths are the most exciting paths to get where you're going!

My career with SPS has been quite the journey of self-discovery! Fresh out of Grad school, I accepted a Receptionist position with SPS to get my foot in the door anywhere I could as a new resident of NYC. Not content with the status quo of my situation, I moved into a management role in less than a year, then into a Director of Operations role, overseeing a group of marquee clients. Ever upward, I was then promoted to National Account Manager for Barclays Capital front office services (North America). My maternity leave in 2011 was just the fork in the road that I needed to forge a new path. When I returned, I was offered a role heading up the newly formed Project Management Office for North America, a position that truly capitalizes the best parts of me: my strong analytical, process-driven side, coupled with my unfettered, easygoing nature.

Wherever the path leads next, I know that I am fully equipped for new challenges and fresh starts.

"In moments of uncertainty, when you must choose between two paths, allowing yourself to be overcome by either the fear of failure or the dimly lit light of possibility, immerse yourself in the life you would be most proud to live." Adam Braun

Certificate, Project Management

Enrolling in the NYU Project Management Program was a big step for me in so many ways. I had been out of college for nearly 10 years, working full time, and mother to a young child. I knew that it was now or never to take that leap and embark on a new career path. The Project Management program allowed me to hone in on my strengths and capitalize transferable skills in working with a wide variety of clientele. Through this experience, I learned the value of lifelong learning and actively seeking opportunities to gain new skills.

Master of Science in Christian Counseling and Bachelors of Bible, Christian Counseling

After spending my first two years of college at Arcadia University as a Communications major with a Theater minor, I decided to take a 180 turn with my education and pursue a path that fed my soul and allowed me to truly help others. My years at Cairn University were some of the most academically challenging, soul-satisfying years of my life...ultimately shaping me into the woman I was called to become.

My counseling degree has helped me to be a more empathetic manager to my employees and deliver a more genuine, personal approach to customer service. This is especially helpful when working on challenging projects with demanding clients

What I Love

Life Through the Lens

I love to capture the beauty and artistry in everyday life when I reenact, travel, and spend time getting close to nature through my camera lens. We live in a beautiful world, and I enjoy capturing those rare, special moments.

Travel & Exploration

I love to explore places both new and familiar. Although I don't often get to travel, I fully enjoy the moments when I can wander new streets and immerse myself in local culture.

Historical Sewing

As a side venture of my living history passion project, I have come to love and appreciate the fine craftsmanship of historical garments. From mantua making to millinery, I use period-correct fabrics and styles to create my 18th-century wardrobe.

Food for the Soul

Cooking not only brings relaxation, but imbues artistry and love to those I serve.

Arcadia University

65 credits , Visual Communications (Major) / Theater (Minor)

My time spent at Arcadia allowed me to fully pursue my creative goals for the future, while sharpening my skills in video production and film analysis. While I may not have chosen to continue pursuit of a career in the arts, the arts never left my heart. I continue to bring a creative spirit and fresh perspective to everything that I do.
