Bachelor's of Arts Degree, Linguistics
Language is a universal human characteristic, and a component unique to the human mind. Studying the nature of how we communicate provides important insight into our cognitive abilities. An inherently social phenomenon on how we speak depends on such factors as where we grew up, our racial & ethnic identity, gender, and education background. Knowing a variation of languages ultimately serves a creative means of expressing who we are. Linguistics has personally helped me to develop skills in data analysis, problem solving, and logical thinking that can be applied to many other fields of work. I wish to pursue a exciting career that promotes diversity and international relations.
