Provide technical support to dealer network. Resolve technical customer complaints by adjudicating whether vehicle is according to BMW specification. Fault finding various vehicle electronic systems including communication bus systems with the aid of wiring diagrams throughout the product range. Use of BMW in-house tools to communicate, diagnose and flash vehicle. Remote diagnosis and software flashing of vehicles. Provide specialist support in Information, Communication and Technology. In-house process optimizations, improving our support to the dealer network. Develop tools to assist in diagnosis of general problems, e.g. design of Brake Pedal Comfort device, measurement of driver comfort when braking. Tools developed using Atmel AVR processors of which code was written using assembly language. PC software for the tools developed were done on Microsoft Visual Basic. Provide technical support and vehicle preparation during events such as Motor Shows and New Model Launches. Provide technical support to in-house customers, such as Customer Care, Product Marketing and Regional Technical Staff. Assist the Motorplan and Warranty departments evaluating validity of claims from dealers and work performed. Scrutinizing vehicle information to determine whether a vehicle has been modified. Draft reports on frequent failures and draft alternative to aid resolution. Report recurring production related failures to relevant manufacturing plant. Developed several databases using MS Access such as to monitor/analyse technical fleet vehicles, Problem management database etc. Extensive use of MS Office packages, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
