Participate in the provision of Medicines Management and Pharmaceutical Services within the District Nursing Service in Islington.

The role involves administering medication, performing medication reviews and health promotion activities. Medication administration activities will include the administration of oral medication and subcutaneous and intramuscular injections such as insulin, low molecular weight Heparin, and Hydroxocobalamin.

Learn and perform the duties of a pharmacy technician, under the guidance and supervision of pharmacists and qualified
technicians, through a structured and comprehensive training and education programme, including day release at college
to meet the professional regulation and registration requirements.
Learn and practise under supervision in each section of the training rota, including stores, distribution and procurement,

Maintain appropriate recording systems within the department, including patient data entry, computerised issue and stock
control. Ensuring the required Security arrangements are met at all times.
