-Managing my own public presence via my social media, communications and public speaking
-Managing a budget of over £40,000
-Acting as Editor-in-Chief for two print and online publications, a TV station, and a Radio station
As Director of a £7m organisation with over 23,000 members, my role is to help decide and implement strategic direction for the Union and represent the students who elected me. My remit covers the Creative Industries (Student groups including Media, Performing Arts and the student cinema), as well as Democracy (overseeing how the Union makes decisions democratically). The role is uniquely challenging as I work with students, volunteers, as well as a team of staff to deliver services, groups and representation to our students.
Some of my main achievements so far include:
-Delivering a week of training to 100 delegates on topics relevant to the Creative Industries, including digital marketing and leadership
- Launching an integrated PR campaign surrounding the review of our democratic processes, in order to better engage our audience.
-Delivering a Creative Industries Careers Season. with networking opportunities from industry professionals
-Boosting my public appearance, including publishing vlogs with over 3000 views
