A New World Child Placement Agency

September 2017 — Present
A New World Child Placement Agency oversees group homes and foster homes and ensures that the children are safe and thriving. I work directly with a case manager who manages five group homes and two foster homes. We are responsible for visiting each group home child once a week and each foster home child once a month. We meet with each child and talk with them about school, home well-being, nutrition, and community involvement. We are then responsible for documenting these visits and archiving them in each child's binder that has important documents for each of them. Not only are we responsible for documenting these visits, we are also responsible for keeping these binders updated with important documents such as medical forms, personal identification, school records, incident reports and more.
I have also created a social skills curriculum for all of the youth in the home.
