"Creating Humanistic Places for People to Live, Work, & Play"
With over thirty years of experience in institutional, cultural, residential, and workplace design, Charles Capaldi and Kelly Vresilovic founded CaVA Architects in 2015 to be a new kind of design firm. CaVA is a practice centered on continuity throughout the process. We believe that the power of great design is based in great relationships and collaborations with our clients, consultants, constructors, and of course the end users. And we believe that the process of design deeply affects the product. That the process should be one of shared discovery, invention and fun.
Maintaining partner-level involvement throughout each project is fundamental to the success of CaVA and its clients. Charles and Kelly place the highest value on design and the collaborative process and understand that the places we create are for the people they serve and the activities they house. The best projects reflect the shared values of the clients, the users and the design team, and forward each group’s mission.
Current CaVA projects include: two new collaborative / digital revitalization projects for Philadelphia based offices, and a study to re-think the potential uses for Buildings 83 and 624 at the Philadelphia Navy Yard.
CaVA is a Certified Women Owned Business and a firm member of the American Institute of Architects. We support the GESU School at 18th and Thompson Streets through teaching classes, volunteer activities, and donations. For additional information see our website: www.cava21.com
