Responsible for providing HR support to approximately 800+ employees in the Midwest (Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Detroit, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Louisville, St. Louis). Managing the effective implementation of HR initiatives, policies and procedures, including compliance, employee onboarding and exiting, performance management, training, compensation, affirmative action planning and employee safety.
Provide employee relations support, including conflict resolution, disciplinary action, performance improvement counseling and terminations.
Conduct investigations regarding discrimination and unfair employment practices, including, but not limited to, those involving federal and state agency charges.
Responsible for managing several HR functions such as employment, labor relations, compensation, training, equal employment/affirmative action, records, safety and health, benefits and employee services.
Assist management in planning, development, implementation and evaluation activities.
Conduct exit interviews, study feedback and develop strategies that balance the needs of employees and management with relation to employee services and policy alignment.
Interview employees to gather information relating to general factors that affect worker morale, motivation and efficiency.
Evaluate the status and productivity of HR programs and recommend changes to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Communicate company and government rules, regulations and procedures and the need for compliance to management and employees.
Responsible for identifying training needs, tracking performance, coaching and motivating employees.
Responsible for partnering with clients and management on decisions relating to hiring, terminating, compensation and performance evaluation.
Prepare reports and conduct analysis for management.
