Outreach Intern

Correspond with and assisted volunteers regarding recruitment, events, and fundraising opportunities. Worked with associates to help ensure a smooth transition to an online volunteer community which included adjusting informational material and toolkits to serve a broad audience. Advocated to increase volunteer membership and hunger awareness through blogging and email updates. Conducted research and collaborated with senior team members to enhance outreach strategies and in order to develop web-based tutorials for potential volunteers, stakeholders, donors, and executives. Gained the opportunity to take the lead on these tutorials and make the project my own. Reached out to World Food Program Field Associates on home leave to coordinate education and awareness events with volunteers, law makers, and stakeholders around the country. Performed administrative tasks to help all departments run smoothly including answering phones, mailings, filing, and data entry.
