Micky Fins Bar and Grill

Waitress/ Head Hostess

Gained experience initially as a hostess then as a waitress. Mastered the technicalities and organizational direction necessary to seat a full restaurant and handle a waiting list in a timely fashion. Daily interactions with people, whether in person or on the phone, honed my level of communication skills. As a waitress I have come to understand the methods of a well run restaurant, as well as the importance of the attention given to the customer in order for the end result to be consistently a positive one.

Alumni Office, Washington College

WAC Voyager

As a member of the Voyager's Program, I contacted alumni in my area to arrange a meeting in order to learn about their memories from college, their interests now, and to bolster their connection to our alma mater. Afterwards, I documented these one-on-one interviews. As a voyager I was able to promote my own alma mater positively, while also getting to know individuals who came before me on a personal level. It was a perfect opportunity to hone both my conversational and listening skills on a professional level.
