Sole assistant to the Estate and Financial Planning Department head, and two litigation associate attorneys. Process extensive transcription, maintain the business calendar for each attorney, including the scheduling of court hearings, depositions, client meetings, and internal meetings. Insure that all court hearings and deadlines are properly scheduled and met. Prepare and edit estate plan documents, including trust documents. Compose case summary and client conference memoranda and correspondence to clients, courts and vendors. Deal with clients directly on a daily basis to assist them in resolving various issues. Handle the filing of legal documents both via mail and e-filing in both federal and state courts. Draft litigation documents including deposition notices, witness and exhibit lists. Charged with the organization and ongoing maintenance of client files, including the preparation of estate plan binders, financial and corporate statements, and pleading indexes. Prepare and file corporate documents in connection with the creation, maintenance and dissolution of limited liability companies, limited partnerships, corporations and private foundations. Keep track of and handle the time entry for each attorney, as well as finalizing and processing out the monthly billing statements for same.
