Develop and maintain recording documents to communicate Character assessments, Explore Week evaluations, and in-depth information regarding subject progress to parents and students, including using Teacher Ease, an online grading program.
Develop a pre-A.P. Statistics Course for advanced student Independent Study.
Pilot technology (TI N-Spire, Geometer's Sketchpad and others) for implementation.
Develop and implement professional development on a variety of topics, including Assessment Strategies, Mathematics in Context, Co-Teaching, Smart Board Technologies, Learning Targets , SalesForce (an online database program) and Differentiation.
Tabulate, analyze and interpret predictive assessment data to recommend student intervention strategies during weekly administration meetings.
Design and implement data collection tools for departments to facilitate creation and analysis of interim assessment data.
Conduct extra help sessions 1.5-4.5 hours per week to assist students in acquiring basic mathematics skills and inspire students for more advanced mathematics learning.
Support Struggling and Advanced Students through on-ground and virtual office hours and digital resources.
Coordinate with the Principal and other staff to create a unified Data and Assessment Plan.
Conduct action research to examine the role of vocabulary acquisition in mathematics and science learning.
Design and implement in-depth learning experiences in Cupcake Baking, Music, International Cooking, Immigration, Mapmaking, and other topics for Explore Weeks: 5 day courses that immerse students in topics in order to remediate credit deficiencies or provide enrichment.
