University of Gloucestershire
Masters of Arts, Photography
Deciding to pursue my post-graduate education abroad was the easiest decision I have ever made. After a study abroad trip in 2012 to the University of Gloucestershire in Cheltenham, England, I rediscovered my love for photography in form of documentary work.
A camera can be a powerful tool to engage in life, not just passively observe and record. In a time where most people equate good photography to good photo gear, there needs to be professional photographers who redefine that. New documentary photographers are doing just that by creating excellent work that evokes much more than a simple appreciation for good composition and lighting; their work steps outside of the art world and into the real world.
With my experience abroad and the help of my professors at the University of Gloucestershire, my practice is on its way to becoming something meaningful.
