Connecting people, truths, & ideas in an effort to challenge, influence, & inspire.

I believe that content has the power to form connections between and among people, truths, and ideas. I want to harness that power to challenge groups to think differently, influence people to find extra in the ordinary, & inspire individuals to live authentically.

Dallas Independent School District

College Access Coordinator

As a program and project manager for the 14th largest public school district in the U.S., I incessantly work to improve cross-functional processes and connect the dots between independent programs and broader organizational goals. I partner and collaborate with more than 10 local and national organizations and influence cross-functional teams of more than 100 staff members to remove barriers to postsecondary education for over 14,000 students annually.

I independently manage multiple projects from concept to completion and am responsible for communicating key updates to stakeholders, which involves creating technical and promotional content. Below is an overview of three different projects and programs, including sample content.

Generation Texas Campaign

Connecting People and Ideas

GenTX Week was a statewide initiative to increase the number of high school students applying to college early in their senior year. In 2015 and 2016, I designed and implemented district-specific campaigns for Dallas ISD's 36 high schools.

Don't create more work for campus staff. Highlight existing college access work being done to increase college application submissions and celebrate the work to encourage and inspire others.

The campaign included a social media activity to encourage student involvement and build a community around college access work being done in Dallas ISD. The #DallasISDGoesToCollege hashtag continues to be used by students and staff to celebrate college access work and achievements. ›

From #IApplied to #IDecided

The social community continues to grow, long after I began promoting #DallasISDGoesToCollege. In the spring of 2016, I spearheaded Dallas ISD's participation in GenTX Decision Day, a campaign to recognize seniors committed to attending college. Dallas ISD continues to participate in both annual GenTX campaigns, and Generation Texas has since incorporated "I Applied" stickers - similar to the one I helped design for Dallas ISD - into its promotional toolkit. ›

ACT School Day

Since ACT School Day was new to campus and central staff, I reviewed all available implementation resources, published training materials, and became the go-to expert for more than 100 campus staff members. I streamlined communications across four central departments supporting all 36 high schools.

My knack for simplifying complex processes and solutions allows me to make connections between projects and broader college access goals.

Postsecondary Success Department

Connecting Truths

Dallas ISD's Postsecondary Success Department was formed in 2014. As one of its first team members, I was afforded the opportunity to help brand the department and set the tone for internal and external communications of the department's programs and services.

Online Impressions

I published the Postsecondary Success Department's first web pages in September 2014. Since then, the site has had more than 15,000 visits and over 26,400 page views. My content is further shared by Communications department staff to increase program awareness and engagement. ›

Flywheel Sports

Studio Manager, Assistant Manager, Boutique Coordinator, Club Coordinator

As a member of the team that introduced Flywheel to the Texas region, I worked at the Highland Park and Plano boutique fitness studios throughout graduate school. During my time at Flywheel, I experienced increased levels of responsibility, was recognized for my ability to identify and capitalize on insights from financial reports, and consistently surpassed retail sales goals.

Academic Success Program

Director of Programming, College Advisor

I developed a passion for tracking and analyzing program data while directing a non-profit college access program. Under my leadership, the Academic Success Program served over 1,400 Dallas ISD high school students annually and helped seniors earn over $12.4 million in renewable scholarship offers for college.

I partnered with Dallas ISD administrators to develop strategic college access goals and tracking methods and was responsible for presenting program data on a monthly and annual basis.

I held individual and small-group college advising sessions with more than 500 students at Bryan Adams High school annually.
