Community Outreach Coordinator at University of Massachusetts Lowell
In the summer and fall of 2013, I maintained the digital presence of candidate Steve Gendron's campaign for Lowell School Committee. I helped to grow and connect with an audience of voters and to create easily digestible and sharable content for Facebook and Twitter, as well as the campaign website. The campaign was ultimately successful, and Steve Gendron was elected to a spot on the School Committee.
-Designed and maintained candidate's website, steveforlowell.com.
-Managed and created content for candidate's Facebook page and Twitter account.
-Maintained online presence and connection between the candidate and voters in Lowell.
-Created written and visual content for various online platforms.
In addition to securing sponsors for the Food Bank’s annual golf tournament, I sat on the tournament planning committee. It was a great opportunity to connect with leaders in the community to help garner contributions for our cause.
Worked in the office of University Advancement with a team of student callers to help gather donations for Bridgewater State's Annual Fund.
-Called alumni and friends of the university.
-Gained experience working in a fast-paced environment.
-Worked to meet quotas and goals for donations each semester.
Aids student athletes in improving their abilities as ski racers. Makes sure all the racers are safe and accounted for at all races, practices, and team functions.
Wrote and edited content for a sports news site tailored to the female fan. I contributed many news, fashion, and entertainment pieces for the site in my time writing for them.
Experience working with both live and pre-recorded television. Experience with editing and work both behind and in front of the camera. Side-line reporting, play-by-play and color commentary, and interview experience.
Seasonal position, game-day staff. Finds fans to participate in events on-field and in the crowd during breaks in-between innings.
Covered news for all of the teams in the Red Sox farm system.
Wrote opinion articles on campus life at BSU.
