Responsible for obtaining materials, components, tooling and equipment for 4 product families in the Vascular Division. In charge of 600 part numbers and 50 suppliers with a yearly spend of over USD$8MM. According to quotations, bids, and supplier awards create Purchase Orders in SAP. Accountable for obtaining yearly cost savings of more than USD$1.5MM on Price Paid Variance (PPV) and Cost Improvement Projects (CIP). Responsible for driving CIP Projects using Lean Six Sigma tools such as DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control), 6M’s or Fishbone, Flowchart, Contradiction Matrix, 5 Why’s and others. Key player for the CIP - Gowning Usage Reduction using Six Boxes of Influence Program, reducing waste and usage in 80%.
In year 2014 a tool in Excel was implemented to plan, schedule, and monitor the movement of materials through the production cycle and according to the demand plan of SKU’s per product family, this increased productivity of the role in 50%.
Accountable for vendor reliability and for developing new supply sources locally to reduce risk, materials cost and freight. Leader in Costa Rica for the One Procurement transformation from Abbott Corporate, to centralize activities and standardize roles, reducing non value added activities, which increased 75% of role productivity. Leader for the supplies corporate bid and transition plan from Fisher Scientific to VWR International in 2015, developing strategy, decision making, analysis and achieving results successfully. Leader for department supplies budget creation and monitoring. Experience in Microsoft Office software and Advanced Excel. Experience in the use of SAP.
