I worked at a variety of schools through out the Queen City in the Public System. I took on short contracts and helped where I could. I increased my French language proficiency by working in the French Immersion schools of the city. C'est bon!

I decided one day to start writing. I wanted to hone my skills as a story teller. I share stories that make you laugh and think, sometimes at the same time. I enjoy the iterative process of writing and that at some point you just have to press publish.

I did my course work at Queen's and my research in Regina, SK. I defended my thesis in May of 2011 and had it published as a book in July of the same year. My research centred on the collegial impacts of professional development. It was a qualitative study that taught me about the cyclical process of writing.

I assisted Dr. Kutsyuruba on a research assignment regarding parallel leadership. This notion became a component of my own Master's Thesis.

I assisted Dr. Kutsyuruba through teaching sessions, marking papers, and providing feedback and direction for the teacher-candidates at Queen's. Students were in both the Concurrent Education programs, and the after-degree Education program.

I taught in a grade 7 and 8 classroom. I also was the Athletics Director, I restarted the Women's Basketball program for the high school, and started the Cross Country program in the elementary. I was the lead teacher for the new math curriculum as well as a technology integration aid. I had several practicing teachers that I got to learn from.
