The initiative was to setup Basel II’s Operating Risk requirements for Pillar I, which required a methodology for incorporating scenario analysis, business environment and internal control factors into the bank’s capital calculations.
The project aimed at designing a new database, Integrated Data Mart (IDM) to facilitate the reporting project of Capital, Allocation, Profitability and Reporting Initiative (CAPRI). It shall maintain commitment, loan and security level data at its most granular level as well as store monthly journal entries data from various sub-ledger systems. The primary function of the IDM is to source and maintain security and loan level/ instrument level transactions data from the data warehouses and other source systems. IDM will allocate methodologies to address transactions that do not have security or loan level details and perform book break tagging (go forward vs. legacy) for loans, securities and commitments.
Mortgage Data Warehouse (MDW) on Teradata with integration of data across multiple organization and servicing entities to support M&A, CRM, Default Strategy, Operations, and other organizational needs by remodeling the existing source system oriented dimensional model into a subject area oriented near 3rd Normal Form model.
