As a member of the Ken Blanchard College of Business team, provided value to Grand Canyon University’s business programs through knowledge sharing, hosting guest speakers and contributing to students professional development.
Independent Liaison
• Liaison between the Dean of the Ken Blanchard College of Business and The Ken Blanchard Companies
• Publish the KBCOB Newsletters content sent to current students, faculty and staff on a bi-monthly basis
• Coordinate with Marketing and Communication departments to produce marketing collateral to promote Develop Yourself as a Leader Speaker Series
Implemented new CRM software, Raiser’s Edge, to improve the efficiency of processing donations, reporting the health of the campaign, and developing constituent relationships to result in increased success of the Inspiring the Future $5 Million Fundraising Campaign. The following were necessary steps to implementation:
• Designed a plan for implementing software including a timeline, resources, and key stakeholders
• Collaborated with the finance and IT departments to integrate Raiser’s Edge with existing accounting software
• Became a software expert through training and experience; advised manager on how to best utilize the software
Administrative Support/Process Improvement
Responsible for supporting the Inspire the Future $5 Million Fundraising Campaign to enrich the programs, facilities and services Lambton College provides to its community
• Planned and executed fund development activities including the campaign launch, 10 press conferences to announce donations, and the annual Corks, Caps & Cuisine event on time and within budget
• Assisted the Manager in researching, identifying, and cultivating donor relationships, and developing strategies to address donors and sponsors business and marketing needs
• Maintained donor contracts, commitment agreements and aided in the development of sponsorship and funding proposals by contributing research, strategy, and editing and proofreading
• Directed the coordination of meetings for the Board of Directors and committees involving corporate leadership and other community stakeholders associated with the campaign
• Audit campaign and reported the success of the campaign to the Finance Director on a weekly and monthly basis
Directed renewal of office setup to increase office productivity and space conducive for meetings, event preparation and general aesthetic for donors and constituents
Supervised 2 co-op students and multiple groups of volunteers who supported event execution
Assisted Dr. Manual Riemer, Assistant Professor, Department of Psychology in collaboration with Reduce the Juice, a youth-led climate change organization by applying knowledge of community psychology, research methods and statistics and curiosity with environmental behavior change.
Contributor/Collaborator
• Worked collaboratively to complete request for ethics review, conduct qualitative interviews, designed telephone and online surveys, compile research report, literature review, and other administrative tasks as assigned
• Disseminated results of study to Reduce the Juice who utilized the findings to attain government funding to continue their community programs
