Responsible for the logistics, planning and implementation of Downtown attractions, events, promotions and marketing campaign logistics to support efforts that promote Downtown Seattle as a premier destination to live, work, shop, and play.
Duties & Responsibilities:
➢ Ensure the successful execution of marketing projects in accordance with the Strategic Plan deliverables including deadlines and milestones.
➢ Downtown marketing efforts including annual marketing plans and budgets.
➢ Implement neighborhood-focused festivals, events, attractions and promotions – including venue selection, negotiation of vendor contracts, budget, permitting and overall event logistics, is to enhance sense of community, provide positive neighborhood branding, drive pedestrian traffic and promote a strong retail environment.
➢ Oversee event logistics and provide on-site assistance for events such as the Out to Lunch Concert Series, Fashion Rocks the Runway, Holiday Carousel, neighborhood and family oriented events, and other events as needed.
➢ Work with Downtown businesses and property owners/managers to maximize participation and promotion of events. Work with Downtown businesses to recruit merchant participation and attendance for events.
➢ Work with non-profit beneficiaries for marketing events as appropriate; work with beneficiaries to solicit in-kind donations, communicate event information and recruit/organize on-site volunteers.
➢ Participate in task force meetings for DSA/MID events.
➢ Oversee on-site event volunteers and volunteer recognition.
➢ Maintain event/promotion-specific budget tracking, and assist with post-event evaluations and material/content compilation for wrap packets.
