What I did:

Project 1: Land Rig of the Future

•Worked with the Global D&C Category Management Land Rigs Team, Chevron North America Exploration & Production Business Units (Drilling Superintendents & Operations Mgrs.) and strategic supplier drilling & engineering personnel to collect rig specific data that will help create a clear picture of what the operational, technical and environmental challenges and needs for the Land Rig of the Future will consist of in preparation for the upcoming Advanced Supplier Relations meetings in October 2013.

Project 2: Project Managed implementation of Category Management Gap Closure plans.

•Worked with Business Analysts and Category Specialists from the Land, Deep Water, and Shelf/Jack-up rig categories within the Global D&C Category Management Team to develop, implement, and institutionalize strength and gap closure plans based upon a review of corporate and upstream procedures in March-April 2013.
--Achieved closure of 37 out of 38 assigned gaps (97%). The last document needed to achieve 100% closure was in draft form and had been distributed for review as of my departure.

Who I worked with:

The Global Drilling & Completions (D&C) Category Management office supports the D&C and Supply Chain Management functions. It is a collaborative team led by Category Managers, with Special Matter Experts' participation, who strive to develop category-specific plans, leverage cross functional/cross-Opco opportunities, address operational excellence and total cost of ownership, direct supplier relationship teams, and measure supplier performance with emphasis on rig business partners.
