Overall Objectives of the Post:

• To take responsibility for leading groups of young people on non-licensable activities and personal development programmes.
• To assist qualified instructional staff in the delivery of licensable activities and those which demand a higher level or skill, competence or training.
• Assist in the day to day running of Weardale House.

Main responsibilities:

• To liaise with visiting leaders on a daily basis
• To organise groups of young people and deliver specific non-licensable activities to the level that I have been trained, assessed and signed off by the Operations Manager.
• To take responsibility to ensure efficient and effective running of the centre.
• To be part of the duty team as necessary on a rota basis including weekend and overnight cover.
• To assist in the upkeep and maintenance of equipment and the Centre.
• To contribute to the operations of Weardale House as required.
• To carry out any other duties as requested by the Management Team.
• To represent Herrington Burn YMCA at all levels.
