J.B.J. Construction

I worked for my father's construction company. I was responsible for helping load work trucks for the next day, pick up materials for current and future jobs and help with the business needs. I was sometimes responsible for keeping track of hours, customer payments, payroll, business paperwork and driving company vehicles. When my father was not at the job I was the next in charge and ran the job site. I worked for him for several years as a full time employee, part time employee and as a sub contractor. At his company I learned numerous trade skills. I have experience in painting, drywall, electrical, plumbing, tile, flooring, wood and steel framing, roofing, siding, gutters, tin, cabinets and trim. The only area of trades I don't have experience in HAVC, concrete and masonry.

Hyles-Anderson Bible College

Associate, General Education

I attended Hyles-Anderson Bible College after becoming involved in church. While there I studied Christian education as well as Christian ministry. I did well in all of my classes and was heavily involved in church ministries all while holding a full time job. On weekends I would visit a suburb of Chicago on Saturdays and go door to door inviting people to church. On Sunday mornings I would drive a bus to my route and pick up the families on my route and take them to and from church. I was also responsible for getting kids from my route into our Christian school and helping them pay their tuition. The reason I went to this college was not really for the degree in teaching but to learn and get experience in church ministry and experience in working with people.
