•Responsible for the analysis of financial statements, trends for business and product lines as well as project valuations for Panalpina in the Americas
•Support the decision–making process Regional team/key liaison between finance and the business.
•Key role in the interaction with Country Heads of Finance and Regional Finance
•Reporting to the Regional Head of Financial Reporting and Controlling for AME
•Provide regional consolidation /analytical support during month-end, rolling forecasts and budget process.
•Prepare analysis, reporting and presentations for the month-end close process by focusing on profitability by country, product and product families.
•Participate together with Regional Products on monthly business calls and reviews with each country within the region as liaison to understand the business and identify areas of opportunities and risks.
•Evaluate monthly results in order to ensure consistency and reasonability
•Develop benchmarking indicators across business units/countries, through the setup and implementation of a Regional Finance Scorecard.
•Perform Business special projects with heavy financial analysis and provide recommendations, including acquisitions and divestitures.
•Support other functional areas with forecasts, budgets and monthly expenses, variations and business development opportunities.
•Recommend process improvement in all areas of responsibilities. Implement new ways to operate by automating existing processes and eliminating manual & non added value activities throughout the Americas region.
