European presales role with technical ownership for engagements up to £24M TCV ranging from E-Commerce platforms to global SAP migrations. Requiring a consultative selling approach, gathering desired business capabilities and translating those into technical requirements. This is achieved through an in depth understanding of customers’ businesses, their commercial realities and mapping these to opportunities for Savvis and where necessary qualifying out.
Responsible for creating compelling business cases as part of the RFP/ITT process, involving liaising with commercial offer development teams, pricing analysts, technical management, service management and sales management to build successful bids.
Management of internal delivery v-teams to support successful transition from pre-sales opportunities into live customer solutions. These cross functional teams include service management, service delivery, post sales engineering and operations.
Product mix includes colocation, MPLS/WAN, Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and security. The technology subsystems include Cisco Security, Networking and Unified Computing System; F5 BIG-IP load-balancing, VMware virtualisation technology, Microsoft SQL & Oracle RAC Databases; Netbackup; Imperva Web Application Firewalls and Arbor Peakflow DDoS mitigation technology.
