The Inspectorate`s responsibility is to raise standards through rigorous inspection and promote excellence in education and skills for learners of all ages.

Main activities and responsibilities:
►Provide an independent external evaluation of school effectiveness against the national framework and a diagnosis of what it should do to improve.
►Provide parents/local communities/local governments with an expert and independent assessment of how well a school is performing.
►Provide information to the Ministry of Education about the work of schools and the extent to which an acceptable standard of education is being provided.
►Promote the improvement of individual schools especially by supervising the preparation of school development plans.
►Be responsible for the cooperation with international organizations working in the education sector, especially in the field of school external evaluation and quality assurance.
►Organise training and coaching sessions for school heads and teachers. ★ More than 100 hours of training sessions aimed at school principals and teacher to promote comprehensive professional development and improve professional practice focused on enhanced students` learning. ★
►Prepare reports and studies concerning the didactic results of school performance, the internal school processes, the role of schools in the local environment and the school management. ★ More than 50 reports on the quality of individual schools highlighting areas of strength and weakness, followed by improvement plans. ★
►Cooperate with the school councils, parents councils, local governments in the process of quality assurance.
