Canadian Pacific Railway

Conductor/Yardmaster

Switched boxcars, worked efficiently to get trains to their destinations on time. Moved freight from St. Paul MN to either Portage WI, or to Glenwood MN. Read switch lists and made sure certain blocks of cars made their outbound trains. Worked both day and night in an on call environment with a two hour notice. Worked in all weather conditions to switch cars. Had to be able to discern different signals for direction of rail traffic. During my time there, I worked as a Yardmaster from 2010 to 2013. I worked as the CP Hump Yardmaster, as well as the General Yardmaster of St. Paul yard. I also for some time worked over at Humboldt yard as the Ford/Humboldt Yardmaster. During 2013 I was also running trains to Enderlin ND as a pilot program for the 199/198 trains.

Adhered to a schedule to install 2 doors and 1 opener a day. Also installed garage door openers and upheld strict quality standards. Used an iPad in order to take pictures of before and after jobs to keep track of quality in craftsmanship. Drive company vehicle and kept it stocked with what I needed for every day.
