(1) Build capacity. I offer one-on-one coaching, group consultations, workshops, and writing groups for graduate students, instructors, research assistants, and faculty members. Topics vary and include writing genres, literature reviews, proposals, publishing, enhancing productivity and confidence, technical aspects of writing (e.g., software), and style.
(2) Knowledge synthesis projects. I am involved in multiple types of literature reviews (e.g., systematic reviews, scoping reviews, meta-syntheses), from developing protocols to writing manuscripts.
(3) Write and edit. Through a collaborative process, I edit research-related written communication (grants, journal articles, conference posters), while supporting authors through the submission process and responding to reviews.
I am a co-investigator in a 5-year mixed-methods evaluation of Alberta's strategic clinical networks (funded by AIHS, AHS, W21C, University of Calgary) with Dr. Deb White, Associate Dean Research. We aim to understand knowledge translation, stakeholder engagement and team effectiveness in these networks, and have built a theory-based tool to measure engagement across multiple professional groups.
I also lead numerous systematic and scoping reviews, as well as the training for our research assistants (writing, qualitative data analysis using NVivo, statistical analysis, triangulation, literature reviews).
