Work as part of a cross-functional sales team to identify and provide individualized support services to patients diagnosed with Lysosomal Storage Disorders (specifically Fabry, Gaucher, MPSI and Pompe disease), and help remove barriers to treatment.
Help patients identify appropriate insurance options; referrals to financial assistance programs; assistance with treatment authorizations and appeals; access to educational resources to help patients learn more about their disease. Responsible for reporting adverse events to Pharmacovigilance and maintaining accurate detailed records for each patient, maintaining the highest patient confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all FDA REMS requirements for products and ensure sites have required training and materials. Utilize SalesLogix and Salesforce to ensure optimal patient interactions and engagement. Work collaboratively with team members to host educational meetings for patients, family members, healthcare providers, and KOLs within assigned territory. Following new product launch protocols, field questions regarding newly FDA approved oral therapy for treatment of Gaucher disease. Work with patients in individualized patient adherence program, ensuring highest quality of information exchange and support to improve patient outcomes.
Achievements: Won national award for most patient net accruals for 2015. Serve as primary Case Manager for Center of Excellence working with KOLs; Staff liaison with Patient Services Incorporated (PSI), non-profit patient assistance program serving rare diseases; Represent the Genzyme Case Management team at the annual Case Management Society of America (CMSA) Conference.
