I'm currently completing a short-term work assignment in the UK with plans to repatriate in August 2015. As one of five HR Business Partners supporting the UK and Ireland (nearly 800 employees), I have responsibility for the following:
Provide direct Business Partner support for 140 employees in Actuarial, Risk, and Underwriting, including coordination of annual performance rating and compensation decisions, talent management and succession planning, and acquisition and onboarding of new talent. Responsible for managing wide range of ER issues, including performance warnings, formal hearings and grievances, gross misconduct, and excessive absence cases in a distinct legal environment. Created new HR processes for employee notice periods, company support of employee education and study fees, and ongoing Visa sponsorship maintenance.
