Coordinate services between residents and other community service organizations
Provide case management services to current residents
Perform daily office duties
Communicate with the Ingham County Food Bank to complete food bank orders and distribute them to the public
Assist in helping families find employment and permanent housing
Manage funding from government grants to help residents in Ingham County with emergency housing
Enter and update all client information into the Michigan Statewide Homeless Management Information System
Supervise student interns and volunteers
Responsible for processing intakes and discharges and assisting in screening, evaluation and orientation of homeless youth.
Handle crisis phone calls and occasional walk-in crisis situations.
Monitoring and documenting client behaviors and activities
Assists residents with activities of daily living and encourages independent behavior.
Participates in the implementation of the resident’s individualized plan of care.
Providing a safe and therapeutic environment
Discipline youths and recommend or initiate other measures to control behavior.
Plan and lead recreational activities and participate or instruct youth games.
Maintain and dispense appropriate medications.
Bags and manages takeout orders including the following duties: inputting orders in the register, collecting payment and making change, exhibiting great cash handling and accurate order taking.
Serves as a food runner during peak hours.
Also assists servers with duties such as clearing and cleaning tables and filling/refilling drinks.
Provide front office support by answering phones, relaying phone and email messages from the department, greet visitors, retrieve and sort department mail.
Create and maintain Google Doc's for RSVP's for Events and Annual Campaigns as well as maintain and update budget sheets with expenses and revenues for each event.
Prepare materials for alumni events by gathering paperwork and other items needed such as event supplies, name tags, and event reports, as well as, assisting with mailings of solicitations and acknowledgments as needed.
Perform address research for returned mail and other lost alumni. Enter corrected address information on alumni records in alumni database.
