Act as liaison to the statewide network of community centered boards and service provider agencies that assist individuals with developmental disabilities to develop positions and strategies on legislation that will potentially affect the services they provide

Actively compile resources for members to help them keep them informed about the current legislative environment, including:
- Weekly reports to members on new legislation during the legislative session, and monthly reports during the board of directors meeting
- Detailed legislator databases that include contact info, important issues, and the assessment of successes and shortfalls of our communication with legislators
- New website design to publish real-time legislative updates and an online forum for members throughout the state
- Grassroots training to members to help their communication at the local level

Attend all pertinent legislative committees during session (HHS, Capitol Development, Appropriations, and Joint Budget Committee, among others) to keep members informed of pressing issues and upcoming bills

Attend and inform members of all pertinent rule making meetings including the Medical Services Board and the Department of Human Services Board, and represent Alliance's position on all relevant rules

Organize marketing efforts to communicate and inform legislators about the community centered system, including legislative breakfasts, day at the Capitol events, and local press relationships

Represent members as an active voice for the Developmental Disabilities Community Centered System's budget requests at all levels, including the Colorado Department of Human Services, Health Care Policy and Financing, Office of State Planning and Budget, Joint Budget Committee and other State Legislature activities

Coordinate efforts with other contract lobbyists to ensure Alliance priorities and legislative contacts are aligned
