Project Management of major fundraisers for museum. Board and Board Committee Liaison. Assist Executive Director and CEO with special projects and day to day business of the Director's Office. Develop and Manage Director's Circle membership program. Manage all museum membership and donor programs. Plan donor travel experiences. Ambassador of Akron Art Museum - promoting the museum within the community (including promoting museum to city, county and state government officials).
Prior to this position, I assisted Sol Lewitt's assistants in the drafting and painting of the Lewitt Wall Drawing in the grand lobby of the museum (one of Lewitt's final pieces). After that, I was offered the position of Visitor Services and Social Media Manager - which consisted of creating and developing an entire department which did not exist at the museum prior to the reopening in 2007. This included: developing an admissions system, developing attendance tracking and reporting structures for grant writing and reporting, hiring and training employees, developing a department handbook (developed policies/procedures for department), and coaching employees on the use of positive language and provided sales training in order to convert visitors to members. In 2010, I was promoted to Membership Manager and Development Assistant and after three years in that position, promoted to my current position: Special Projects Manager.
