Bachelors or Arts, English

Tennyson's "In Memoriam," and Manet's "Le dejeuner sur l'herbe" are what originally inspired me to seek out a major in English and a minor in Art, but truthfully, I spent a great deal of my undergraduate career having no idea what I would do when I got out of college. Putting the future aside, I spent a blissful four years immersing myself in beautiful art, literature, and music, and for the first time, I was able to release my creativity. When I graduated, I was the first in my family to earn a college degree, and I did so receiving multiple honors and distinctions. And while I am proud of the degree I have framed over my desk, I am most thankful that I had the opportunity to spend time learning about things that I love, and in turn, learning about myself.
